Here is a card I made for my friend’s baptism. She is WONDERFUL, and I am so thankful to be able to continue the friendships I made in university here in Toronto. After graduation, most people go their separate ways, but this particular friend and I have been sort of consistent in meeting up (every few weeks is better than never!) and it is truly so encouraging to see the joy that she has in Christ.
In terms of the card, it is made of simple construction paper. I originally was just going to glue the “woooo!” on the blue paper, but upon hearing my sister’s advice, I mounted the letters instead, which I think really elevates the quality of the card (ha!). To mount the letters, I just cut up two strips of construction paper, and folded them over each other so that they were thick and tall-ish. Then I just glued them to the blue paper and the letters! So now there is a nice shadow, and the card looks more fancy.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)
